There are many factors in choosing a clinic that works for you, such as cost or next availability. Please call or visit the clinics to gather more information and/or schedule an appointment. WHEF cannot schedule or assist with appointments or pricing.

Step 2

Mention our name!

Are you in need of an abortion but find yourself unable to cover the full cost? WHEF is here to help. We partner with the clinics listed above to provide every Rhode Islander with the financial coverage they need to afford their abortion. If you have an appointment with a partner clinic, let the clinic staff know you would like to receive a WHEF grant when you check-in. The clinic staff will let you know the grant amount and work with you on a payment plan for the balance, since WHEF may not be able to cover the full cost.

If you are seeking care at a clinic not listed above, you will need to contact us directly to coordinate a grant. WHEF cannot help coordinate grants with our partner clinics; those must be coordinated with the partner clinic staff.

If you are looking for assistance with the cost of birth control, WHEF works with Planned Parenthood in Providence. The process is the same as above, just let the clinic staff know that you would like to receive a WHEF grant when you check-in for your contraceptive care appointment.

Additionally, many Rhode Islanders choose to receive abortion care out of state or prefer a clinic not listed above.
