Our Biggest Fundraiser of the Year
Come bowl with us! WHEF is calling for teams and individuals to register for the 14th Annual Fund-a-Thon taking place on April 28 at Meadowbrook Lanes in Warwick, RI, from 3-6pm. WHEF will be one of many funds across the nation participating in the National Abortion Access Fund-a-thon throughout the month of April. Here's how you can participate:
Anyone can register to create a bowling team or join an existing team and help WHEF raise the critical funds and awareness needed to make reproductive freedom a reality. All donations received by May 31, up to $50,000, will be matched 1:1 by the National Network of Abortion Funds (NNAF)!
A team consists of four to six people per lane (over 6 members will receive additional lanes!). Your friends aren't around that weekend? Register anyway and bowl with the Spare Balls (a team made up of solo bowlers ready to make a difference)!
This year's team costume contest is "MUSIC GROUPS/ARTISTS!". Dress as your favorite band, music group, or maybe even your team's favorite artist through the decades of their career and you will be automatically entered into the costume contest on April 28! Awards for best team costume and most original individual costume.
There is no fee to register for the event with a fundraising goal for each bowler of $100 (including the match). Each registered bowler will receive a personal fundraising page to share and help with requesting donations from their friends, family and colleagues. All funds raised go directly to help Rhode Islanders pay for contraception and abortion care. Because WHEF is all-volunteer, over 95% of donations go directly to funding.
